Gary EJ Lewis

Gary Evan James Lewis of Roxbury, passed away on October 20, 2022.

He was born on July 26, 1945, in Newburgh NY, the son of Gordon R. Lewis and Marie (Slattery) Roberts.

Gary married Dorothy M. Sprague on July 27, 1974 in Margaretville NY.

He was drafted into the United States Army in 1969, he was honorably discharged in 1975. After coming home he worked as a self employed contractor running his own small business for many years.

Gary enjoyed fishing, camping and loved to tinker on things especially taking them apart.

Gary is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Arkville, two daughters Lela & Alan Davis of Roxbury, Lisa Hitt of Florida, a son DeWayne & Dawn Lewis of Roxbury; eight grandchildren Elizabeth, Caroline, Katrina, Taran, Thomas, Reyna, Skye and Emily, one great granddaughter Lily; his sister Shirley of Florida, and his half-sister Jackie Johnson of Arkville; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Gordon Lewis and Marie Roberts.
