Donald E. Kellerhouse

Donald Edmund Kellerhouse, Sr. formerly of Grand Gorge, passed away on Wednesday April 27th. 

 Don was born on March 21, 1933 to Harold and Elma (Brenn). He graduated from Grand Gorge Central School. He joined the Army in March 1953 was stationed in Germany as part of the Military Police before being honorably discharged in March 1955. 

 On May 7, 1955, he married Shirley Hinkley at the Jay Gould Memorial Reform Church in Roxbury, NY. They moved to Grand Gorge and became actively involved in the community and the Methodist Church. 

  Don was an active Grand Gorge Fireman for 65 years and was a member of the Grand Gorge and Roxbury American Legion and became Delaware County Commander at one time. 

Don and his wife were the owners' of Don's Dairy Freeze in Grand Gorge and was retired from the New York Power Authority in Gilboa.  

Don is survived by his sister, Reba Brainard; two daughters, Deborah Lenze (Jurgen), Lori Kellerhouse; his son, Daniel; as well as ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and another due in August. 

 Don is predeceased by his wife, Shirley; son, Donald, Jr.; three sisters, and one brother.

Calling hours will be Saturday May 7th, 2022 from 1pm-4pm at the Grand Gorge Firehouse.
