Eugenia “Jean” C. Gray

Eugenia C. Gray 92, a resident of New Kingston died Saturday April 30, 2022 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville, NY.

She was born July 22, 1929 in Fleischmanns, NY

to Arthur and Beda Soderlind. She was predeceased by her husband Nelson G Gray in 2011, whom she worked side by side with on Neljean Farm in New Kingston Valley. She was a faithful member of Presbyterian Church of New Kingston. She loved cooking, sewing, reading, art, flowers and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. For many years she was a 4H leader for her family and many children in the surrounding area.

Surviving are her children Dixie(Ronald) Utter, of Virginia,  Rebecca(Daniel) Waltener of Florida, William(Dorothy) Gray of Florida, Charles(Cathy) Gray of Virginia, Claudia McKenna of Florida, Diane(John) Ericson of New York, James(Joyce) Gray of  New York. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son Terrance Gray of Indiana and her brother Arthur Soderlind.

A memorial service will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Kingston Presbyterian Church, New Kingston, NY.
