Catherine D. Hait

Catherine D. Hailt, age 95, of Roxbury NY passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 18th, 2023. Catherine was the mother of two daughters Sherry Albano (Joe), Christy ODonnell (Jason), and an infant son who passed away at birth. She is survived by her grandchildren Rose Wright(Matt), Jody Albano, Bailey ODonnell-Stewart (Henry), Beau ODonnell, and Jacey ODonnell. Her great-grandchildren Brandon Wright and Mikayla Wright. She was preceded in death by her Parents John and Katherine DelGiudice. She married Basil Hait on June 8th, 1952. He predeceased her on December 12th, 2001 after 49 years of a loving marriage. She graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She taught 2nd grade for 39 years at Roxbury Central School. During her time at Roxbury Central she took great pleasure in teaching all of her students, especially the multiple generations that filed through her room over the years. Catherine was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, teaching her Grandchildren to read, and taking them on lunch dates. Call in hours will be Tuesday November 21st, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury. Funeral service at the Roxbury United Methodist Church Wednesday November 22nd, 2023 at 10am. Burial follows at the Roxbury Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends to follow at the United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department or United Methodist Church of Roxbury in her name

Calling hours for Catherine will be held Tuesday November 21st from 5-7 pm at Miller Funeral Home Roxbury, NY. Catherine's funeral will be Wednesday November 22nd at 10am at the Roxbury Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Roxbury Cemetery.
