Diane Prawd

Diane Grace Prawd (Magistro), 72, of Baldwin, New York, passed away on November 24, 2023 in Roxbury, New York. She was born on August 25, 1951, graduated from General Douglas MacArthur High School in Levittown, NY in1969.  Diane married her high school sweetheart Frank Prawd, moved to East Islip and went on to have three wonderful daughters.Diane is

vived by her devoted husband Frank and her loving daughters and sons-in-laws: Christine and Chris Tucciarone, Michele and Troy Farina, Karyn and Rich O'Malley. She was a cherished grandmother "Nanny" to Jonathan, Sarah, Nicholas, Anna, Madison, Christian, Brooke, Ariana, Ryan, and great-grandmother to Grace and JonJon  and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Dorlores and Guido Magistro, as well as her brothers Michael Magistro and Steven Magistro.

In 2004 Diane retired after a successful 20-year tenure at the Home Depot and spent her and Franks retirement making their longtime summer house their permanent home.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, her slots, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was also known for her long phone conversations that could go on for hours. Diane was a loving, caring, kind, and generous woman who always filled the room with laughter. She had a zest for life and lived each and every day to the fullest. Diane touched the lives of everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was the Matriarch of our family.

Diane's love, laughter, and kindness will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of joy and warmth that will continue to inspire us all. 

A memorial service to celebrate Diane's life will be held on December 16th, 2023, from 1pm to 4pm at the American Legion Hall, located at 903 Main Street in Margaretville, NY 12455.
