Yvonne A. German "Bonnie"

December 17, 1938 - September 7, 2021

    On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Bonnie German, loving wife and mother of three children passed away at age 82.

     Bonnie was born on December 17, 1938 on Bull Hill Road in Conesville NY to John and Hazel Merwin. She grew up farming along side her parents and her siblings.  She graduated from Gilboa- Coneville central school in 1958. On June 18,1962 she married Rodney A. German. They raised one son, Douglas and two daughters, Hope and Colleen. 

     Bonnie had a passion for gardening and bird watching. Her favorites were roses and humming birds. She was also happy with turning on the radio or TV for her favorites. She had a deep love for collecting porcelain dolls and bells. She loved spending time with family. 

      She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. 

      Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel, her father, John, and her husband Rodney. She is survived by her children Douglas German (Sandy German) of Grand Gorge, Hope Kuhns (Mark Kuhns) of Gilboa, and Colleen Lenz (Albert Lenz) of Amsterdam. Her brothers Howard Merwin (Peggy Merwin) of Seward, Robert Schermerhorn (Dee Schermerhorn) of Seward, and her sister Loretta Wright of Pineville, North Carolina. Also, her grandchildren Heather, Adam, Whitney, Travis, Cortney, and Shania. Along with several Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

     There will be no services to respect her wishes. Her family appreciates all of your condolences, love, and support at this time.
