William “Bill” S. Sprague

William “Bill” S. Sprague, age 50 of Roxbury, NY passed away January 14,2025 following a brief illness surrounded his loving family.

Bill was the son of the late Victor and Wilma (Simmons) Sprague. He was also predeceased by his brother Victor Sprague.

Bill was the current Town of Roxbury Highway Superintendent. Bill had been with the highway department for 25 years. He was elected as superintendent in 2019. He also served as the treasurer of the Delaware County Highway Superintendent Association.

Bill was a good man, husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family, friends, and the community he served.

Bill will be forever missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Amy, his daughter Raven Sprague, and son Nicholas Sprague. He is also survived by his grandsons, Weston, Cole, and Dauntles. Survivors also include his sisters Kathy Johnson , Vicky Sprague, and Barbara Glidden and his brother Russell Sprague.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025, from 11am-1pm at the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations please be made to the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church in Bill’s honor.
