Randy Taylor, 70, of Accord NY

June 29, 1954-January 13,2025 

Randy was the son of the late Virgil and Florence "Bertie" Taylor. He had seven siblings. Randy graduated Roxbury High School and joined the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam War. He took great pride in his career as a metal machinist until his retirement from Wolf-Tec in Kingston NY.

 In Randy's passing he leaves behind a profound legacy filled with love, joy, and treasured memories that will resonate in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come. He is survived by his beloved children- Julianna, Jessica (Michael), Kristina (Ken), and Bobby (Allison) – who carry forward his spirit and values. His grandchildren, Katelyn (Xavier), Tyler, Brandon, Jina, Aubrey and Ellie were a source of immense joy for Randy, and they will forever cherish the moments spent with their grandpa. 

Additionally, Randy is survived by his sister Lori, who shared countless memories and experiences with him throughout their lives. Randy's life was further enriched by the many friends and extended family he gathered along the way, each of whom played a significant role in his journey. Of particular significance, Charles, Connie and their children shared a special bond with Randy and treated him as dad and grandpa. A dedicated family man, Randy had a remarkable talent for spreading happiness wherever he went. His infectious laughter and playful antics could brighten even the darkest of days, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

 

In his everyday life, Randy found joy in the simple pleasures that surrounded him. He had a deep appreciation for the beauty of flowers, often tending to his garden with care and love. His passion for cars was evident in his meticulous attention to detail, and he took great pride in his collection. The experiences he had in the navy remained a cherished part of his life and he often shared stories of his adventures at sea. These interests reflected his zest for life and his ability to find wonder in the world around him.  Randy's deep faith was a cornerstone of his existence, providing him with strength and solace throughout his life.

Calling hours will be held on Monday January 20, 2025 from 11am-12pm at Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury, NY. A time of remembrance by family and friends will follow the calling hour and burial will then place at Roxbury Cemetery.
