Timothy W. Balcom

Timothy Wayne Balcom, born in Margaretville, NY, on April 7, 1949, passed away peacefully at his home with his son Josh and daughter-in-law Kristy by his side on February 9, 2025. He was 75 years old.

Tim proudly served his country in both the U.S. Army and Navy, exemplifying his dedication to service. After his military career, he became a contractor in the local community, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and hard work.

Above all, Tim cherished the time spent with his family. He was a devoted father to his son, Josh, and father-in-law to Kristy, and he loved every opportunity to spend time outdoors. His passion for fishing and hunting, shared with his son, brought him immense joy and helped create many treasured memories.

A memorial service to honor Tim’s life will be held on April 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Roxbury Cemetery in Roxbury, NY, where family and friends will gather to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local veterans' charity in his memory.
