Susan E. Hinkley

Susan E. Hinkley, 62, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2022 at her home. She was a retired fourth grade teacher at MCS school for 20 years. She enjoyed teaching and her students. In addition to teaching she enjoyed learning, earning a doctorate degree in education. A semi-retired downhill skier, later in life, she picked up cross-country skiing out her backdoor when at home and in the Adirondacks on winter vacation. Her spring/summer/falls were filled with camping trips to various lakes in the Adirondack Park where she enjoyed kayaking and photographing wildlife, with special interest in the majestic vocal loons of the North Country. She is survived by her mother Dora Bubach, her husband of 41 years Tyrone, son Jason (Kristen), daughter Alison, siblings John (Cheryl Hinkley) Bubach and Gene (Dianna) Bubach, and nephew John K. (Chelsea Slavin) Bubach and grand nephew Abbott. Sue was predeceased by her sister, Dr. Patricia Bubach and father, John A. Bubach. Calling hours will be held Thursday July 21st at Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury, NY from 2pm-4pm. Rev. Dykstra will conduct a funeral service at that time.
