Sandra Jean Shultis

Sandra Jean Shultis (Sandy) 82 years old, a lifelong resident of Margaretville, NY passed away on Tuesday June 18th, after a brief illness.  Sandy was a devoted wife to L. Charles (Charlie) Shultis for over 60 years.  She was a loving mother to her 4 children.  Sherri Fraser (Chris) of Washingtonville, NY, John Shultis of Margaretville, NY, Stefanie Curran (William) of Bradenton, FL and Shannon Shultis (Melissa) of Margaretville, NY.  She was a loving grandmother to 8 wonderful grandchildren, Nicholas, Joseph and Caleb Fraser, Corey and Siera Curran and Chelsea, Carly and Casey Shultis.    

Sandy was predeceased by her mother Claudine Rosa and her father John Merchant.  Sandy loved spending time with her mother Claudine and walking "overtown."  She enjoyed a good cup of tea and a cookie in the afternoons.  Sandy loved to listen to music, and she loved to dance.  She spent a majority of her time with her family, which provided her with a great of deal of joy.   

Calling hours will be held Tuesday June 25, 2024 from 11am-12pm at Hynes Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at the Margaretville Annex Cemetery Pastor Deb Judisky will be officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mountainside Residential Care Center for the care they provided Sandy over the past few months.   

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Mountainside Residential Care Center, or the Methodist Church in Margaretville, NY.
