Manfred Tuch

On March 2, 2025, Manfred Walter Tuch (Freddy), aged 91, passed away peacefully in his Andes home, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born on June 2, 1933, in Stuttgart, Germany, Freddy was an avid soccer player during his youth. He trained as a

copper smith before emigrating to the United States in 1952 at the age of 19. 

Freddy proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. It was in New York City that he met the love of his life, Else. After just three dates, they were married on March 4, 1954, and shared a beautiful life together for 70 years until Else's passing. 

In 1972, Freddy and Else moved to Andes, where they bought a farm on Dingle Hill. Freddy had a deep love for all animals and was passionate about hockey. Above all, he cherished his family, including his loving wife Else, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Freddy was predeceased by his parents, Walter Tuch and Anne (Weiler) Tuch, wife Else Tuch, first-born son Michael Carl Tuch, sisters Erika Ester, Elizabeth Klopfer, brother Michael Tuch.  Freddy is survived by his sister Barbara Gieger, five children, fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Michael’s children; son Nathan and wife Jen, their daughter Amirah; daughters Rayna and husband Garrett, their daughters, Hadley Noel and Margaret Ann and baby 3 due August; and Laressa; daughters: Suzanne and husband George; Karoline and daughters Jessica and husband Jim and their son Nikhil Narayan, and Julianna; Christine and husband Rodney, their children Jacob and wife Mary, Joshua and daughter Cadence Michelle, Justin and partner Sage, Jenna and children Kiara Christine, Colton Rodney, Gracelyn Else, Jordan Joshua; Son Carl and wife Sharon, their children Alex and wife Kylie and their son Tripp Michael and baby 2 due in May, Leah and Luke; Son Paul and his children Maxwell and Anna.  Freddy is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many more extended family and friends throughout the US and in Germany.

 

Freddy's legacy of love, dedication, and passion will be remembered by all who knew him.
