Inge “Theilke” Glaess-Luettger

Inge passed away at home on April 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Germany on March 3, 1938. She was the only child born to Lina and Franz Theilke, with whom she came to the United States in 1957. Inge worked as a beautician; she learned her trade while in Germany. She married Erich Glaess in 1960, they lived in Huntington, Long Island. They have 2 sons, Floyd and Mark. Floyd lives at Project Independence and Mark lives in Huntington, LI.  Erich passed away in 1993. A few years later Inge was lucky enough to meet and fell in love with Franz Luettger, his wife had passed away a few years prior, they had 4 children. Inge and Franz were married in 1998 and they moved to the Catskills. Of Franz’s children, Ramona and family and Ronald and family reside in Oneonta, Mark and family in Otego and Frank, the oldest in Virginia.  In 2002 Inge lost her Franz to cancer. Inge was a member of the Kingston Manner Chor and Damen Chor, she loved to sing and loved music. She was also a member of the German-American Club of the Northern Catskills and had many friends there. She enjoyed gardening, baking and to fiddle with crafts, her pets and loved living in the Catskills.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022 at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville from 11-12pm. A funeral service at noon will be held with Pastor Dottie Morris officiating.
