Donald F. Herdman

DUE TO WEATHER UNCERTAINTY, DONALD’S SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT MILLER FUNERAL HOME AT 12:30PM WITH BURIAL FOLLOWING AT ROXBURY CEMETERY.

Donald passed away on February 9, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, John G. Herdman and Nina C. (Sutton) Herdman. He was also predeceased by his wife Madelin (Brownell) of 25 years and his companion Goldia Banks of 33 years.

He spent his later years living with Larry, Brenda and Shane Briggs at their Gilboa home from 2009-2022.

Donald was employed by Mountainside Farms Inc. Creamery, Roxbury, for 43 years, running the processing equipment.

His hobbies included woodworking and lawn ornaments in his shop, taking long drives on country roads and having a few meals along the way at his favorite places.

Donnie was a kind, considerate and generous man as well as a dear friend to all who knew him. Donnie will be greatly missed.

A graveside committal service will be held on Thursday February 17, 2022 at 1pm at the Roxbury Cemetery with Rev. Dykstra offering graveside prayers. All are welcome to attend.
