Bonnie Lynn Buel
GILBOA - After a courageous battle with cancer, where she continued to shock her medical team with her strength and endurance, Bonnie Lynne (Key) Buel succumbed to her fate at home with her dedicated husband, Dennis Buel and their fur babies, Macy and Lucy, by her side. She also leaves her large Buel family with broken hearts. They all fell in love with her classic beauty, her giving heart, her humor and laughter that brought them much joy that ended too soon!
Bonnie was born in Herkimer to her predeceased parents, Sherry A. (Bergloff), George E. Key Jr., and siblings, Martin E. Key, Judith A. (Hargrove).
Surviving, besides her husband, are siblings, Nancy, William G. (Althea), Joe C. (Terri) and Leon C. Key; several aunts and uncles; many cousins; and many more nieces and nephews.
Bonnie attended Hobart, South Kortright, and West Winfield schools. She had lived in Florida and North Carolina, moving back home to the beautiful Catskills where she worked hard at her jobs and obtained her real estate license. She enjoyed hiking, swimming, dancing or just hanging with those she loved by a fire under the stars.
Bonnie will truly be missed by those long time friends and family that she cherished.
She asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society research program or Animal Humane Society.
