Tammy Lynne Melvin

 Tammy Lynne (Weaver) Melvin was born on January 10, 1962, to Richard and Gloria (Misner) Weaver.She passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at FOX Hospital 62 years of age after a long illness.  She married Bruce E Melvin, May 20, 1983. On June 6, 1985 they welcomed their  daughter Dawn Marie Melvin into the world. Dawn blessed them with a grandson Austin, who was the light of their lives.

Tammy is survived by her sisters, Debra Weaver of New Hampton, Goldie (James) Mills of Downsville, Cindy Weaver (Pat Myers) of Fleischmanns, her brothers Ken (Donna) Weaver of Andes, and Jay Weaver of Andes.She is also survived my many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. 

She is predeceased by her husband Bruce Melvin and daughter Dawn Melvin. father, Richard and mother, Gloria and a brother, Vincent.

Tammy enjoyed hunting and spending time with her daughter and grandson. You would always see Bruce and Tammy and their dogs hopping in  the car to go for a ride and stop by to say hello to their many friends in whichever direction they headed.Tammy loved to plant flowers in the spring, her favorite was the daffodil. She also loved to talk about her dogs, wherever they went the dogs went too.

In the last year if you went to visit Tammy in the nursing home you had better not show up without her McDonalds cheeseburger and vanilla milkshake.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held Tuesday July 2, 2024, from 4pm-6pm with a funeral service to follow at 6pm at the Hynes Funeral Home in Margaretville NY. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to Friends of Bassett Kidney Dialysis Center in memory of Tammy Melvin.
