Richard Miskovsky
Richard Miskovsky (Richie), a loving husband, father, and friend, aged 89, passed away on April 1, 2024, surrounded by his wife and 2 daughters. He was born on March 3, 1935, in Rockville Centre, to John and Mary Miskovsky. He was a proud resident of Lakeview West Hempstead, Port Jefferson Station, and Denver, New York. He married Anita Petersen on May 22, 1965 on Long Island. He was a mechanic at Duram Aircraft, owner and operator of A-1 floor waxing services, and a franchise owner of 7up distributing. He was a very outgoing, friendly, generous man who cared about everyone. His biggest passions were sports, being a volunteer fire fighter, and racing his pigeons. He always had a funny story to share and made everyone laugh uncontrollably. He was predeceased by his father, John, mother, Mary, brother John, and son, Lance. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anita, daughter, Christine Nemeth (Gary), daughter, Nicole Schindler (Bob), grandchildren, Lance, Ryan, Tyler, McKenzie, Cole, Reagan, Montanna, Austin, his brother, Raymond Miskovsky (Andrea), sister, Marylou Miskovsky, sister- in-law, Susan Miskovsky, daughter in-law, Janie, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the J, Gould Memorial Reformed Church, 53837 NY-30, Roxbury, NY 12474, on April 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM to honor the life of Richie. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the J. Gould Memorial Reformed Church or the Tunnel to Towers foundation.
