Richard M. Maurer

Richard was born on July 7, 1952 in Huntington NY. While growing up on Long Island, his family owned a Delicatessen as well as one of the first landscaping businesses where he first grew an immense passion for stonework, horticulture as well as cooking and baking. He continued these passions throughout his life until his passing. Richie was well known for his bread custards, apple crumb pie and amazing food. His landscaping skills were phenomenal, to say his stonework is breathtaking is an understatement. He spent his recent years doting his furry friends, as his love for animals was immense. Above all... Pop, enjoyed sharing and passing on his family traditions and love for card games to his grandchildren Dylan and Caylin. All of his marks he has left will never be forgotten. If love could've kept him with us he would've lived an eternity.

As per Richard's wishes there will be no services, only to remember as he was. Any donations in memory of Richard can be made to Heart of the Catskills Humane society in Delhi, an/or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
