Kristopher W. Brew
Kristopher William Brew was born August 30, 1995 in Walton, NY to Rikki York and William Brew. He passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
He graduated from Roxbury Central School in 2014. Kristopher served proudly in the United States Army from 2014 to 2018 as an Airborne Infantryman and achieved the rank of Specialist.
He spent two years as an over-the-road truck driver seeking out beauty everywhere he went across America. He spent the last two years working at Plattekill Ski Center where he worked with some of his favorite people doing work he enjoyed in the mountains he loved.
Kristopher’s great intellect, sharp sense of humor, strength, kindness, creativity and quick wit as well as the way he cared for his loved ones wholeheartedly will be missed. His fearlessness, knowledge and courage made those around him feel safe. He loved to travel, learn and see new things. He loved to hike, camp, explore the outdoors and take long mountain drives, especially with his best friend, Ian. He enjoyed conversations and laughs with friends and family around a fire he meticulously attended to. His life was short but the experiences he had and the connections he made were many and meaningful.
Kris leaves friends and family from near and far including his loving siblings Melody Monfort, Michael Platt, Analee Bergmann and Kaitlin Brew as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved girlfriend. He was predeceased by both of his parents.
