Joyce “Joi” Brundege

Joyce “Joi” E. Brundege, of Andes passed away July 4, 2022. Born in Andes, NY, she was the daughter of Dr. Albert “Doc All”  All and Meriam (Werner). Joi is survived by her son Bill Van Stine.

A lieutenant from 1962-1965 in the Navy she served as a Nurse. Following her military service,  she worked as a school nurse, county nurse and ended her Nursing career as an instructor at both Alfred University and SUNY Delhi.   Joi earned multiple masters degrees in her field.

She spent many years volunteering for Hospice, she was a Trustee of the Andes Presbyterian Church, chairperson for the Forum Church Society and volunteer in the Andes thrift shop. She also was a member of the Andes Society for History and Culture as well as a past president of the Andes Senior Citizens Club, a volunteer for the Andes Food Bank and past president of the Perch Lake Association.

A memorial service to celebrate Joi’s life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 4pm at the Andes Presbyterian Church, Andes, NY with Pastor Karen Ogborn officiating.
