Helen C. Faraci

Helen Cammer Faraci, 86, lifelong resident of Roxbury, New York, passed away on October 29, 2024.

Helen was predeceased by her husband of almost 61 years, Charlie. She is survived  by their four children Sue (Dan) Witmer, Gary (Carolynn) Faraci, Thom (Lisa) Faraci, and Vin (Angie) Faraci, grandchildren Brian (Jane) and Eric Witmer, Shane (Leeann) Gallo, Kyle, Kennedy, Matthew, Vance, and Marcus Faraci, great grandchildren Ariela Faraci and Benjamin Witmer, brother Larry (Jane) Cammer, sister Elaine Cammer (David) Moseley, and a large extended family.

Helen worked in the local bank for many years while also keeping the books for the family business. Add in raising and corralling four kids (we would argue, successfully!), traveling, spending time with friends and that extended family, she had a happy and full life.  In retirement, Helen found joy in working at the Roxbury Library part-time. She truly loved and enjoyed being there and was happy greeting everyone, chatting, making new friends, helping customers, and volunteering in the Thrift Shop and for fundraising events. Helen was also an avid reader and made the best pies ever.

A favorite memory is Helen and Charlie dancing. They were very much in sync and everyone liked to watch them move around the dance floor, with Mom smiling and laughing and dad whistling along with the music.

Helen had a good sense of humor and it was always fun to make her laugh. However, she might say we weren't always as funny as we thought we were!

Helen is already missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen's name to the Roxbury Library. 53742 State Route 30, Roxbury, NY 12474.
