Carol Lawrence

Carol Lawrence 81, of Grand Gorge died Tuesday, April 9, at Robinson Terrace. Carol was born on December 25,1942 in New York City. The daughter of August and Cleo Jacob, Carol married Martin Lawrence (deceased 2013) on July 11, 1961 in Bronxville. Carol earned a Masters in Education from Skidmore College and proceeded to teach in Middleburgh Central School for 27 years. Carol enjoyed camping, painting, her family and her dogs. She is survived by her four children Martin, Jeffrey, Cynthia and William (Cyndi) and grandchildren James, Alex, Madeline and Molly and four great grandchildren.  A memorial visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home on Friday, April 19 from 1:00-2:30, followed by a short service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Carol’s memory may be made to the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.
